How the hell did you get Don LaFontaine to do the audio on your homepage?

Don LaFontaine is a rock star! When we were creating BIGbreakTALENTbank.com, we had his voice in mind and wrote our homepage audio specifically for him, never dreaming he’d actually be available to do it. Don is the “in a world movie trailer voiceover guy” and we couldn’t picture anyone else doing our audio. We didn’t want to go to our Plan B. Why is there an audition?

We get this question a lot, but the truth is we’re not Simon, Paula and Randy. We don’t get paid millions of dollars to sit through bad auditions. We have to have a way to weed out wannabes, those people who are delusional about their talent, so they have to audition for the Money Panel the same as anyone else. If we can’t decide, they get bounced to the Bank Line where the public votes for 30 days. To avoid a votefortheworst situation, the final step is passing the standards of the BbTb community itself. This way, we continue to maintain the integrity of our community. It’s a win-win for everyone.

Why are some profiles not free?

Basic Bankable Profile Listings are free. Additional profiles are not. Optional Upgraded and Custom have additional profile listing add-ons like a photo gallery or event/show/gig calendar. Get hired on your TALENT or sell your creations but keep 100% of what you earn – we don’t take commission of any kind.

The BbTb team also created an in-site marketing program, Money Marketing, for our TALENT. For $1 a day, promote yourself on our site and ultimately, draw traffic to your profile and your store. Money Marketing is priced low for a reason – we want you to succeed.

How do I apply?

The first step is the application/audition process. Fill out the application, attach your best works and wait for the Money Panel to deliberate.

How will I know if I’m Bankable?

Your login and password gets you started building your Bankable Profile. Add your best works to your profile listing. We'll evaluate it and let you know. If you want upgraded profile options, we have those too. Pick a profile level and get started today on your way to your BIGbreak.

If accepted, are my works legally protected?

If you created it, it belongs to you, but the only way to truly protect yourself is to contact an attorney and go through the copyright process. We encourage you to check out our legal pages – Terms of Use, Copyright Tips and Privacy Notice – before getting started, as well as the Terms and Conditions information that appears during the application process. How do I choose my profile?

Everyone will have a Bankable Profile. After that, upgrading is up to you, depending on your specific needs. Our Upgraded and Custom profile fees include your Bankable Profile, so if you choose to upgrade, we’ll link from your Bankable Profile to your Upgraded or Custom profile.

What if I have something to sell?

The Bankable profile includes a store and the Custom Profile includes a store.

If I choose to have a store, how much is your commission?

BIGbreakTALENTbank.com does not take a commission on anything you sell. You keep 100% of the profits. We also don’t take commission on any jobs you may get. You keep 100% of what you earn on your TALENT.

Do you make my profile public?

The application specifies which profile items are public. Safety is top of mind, so many items are not viewable to the general public and your email address is encrypted. You are not obligated to respond to anyone who emails you and we encourage you to check out anyone who does.

I don’t want to pay monthly, I want to pay my profile fee in advance.

We love that and we’ll give you 2 months free just for paying your Upgraded or Custom Profile annual listing fee(s) in advance. We even extend the savings to our Money Marketing program as well.

Okay, I have my profile set up. How can I draw more attention to it?

We have created a special Money Marketing advertising program for our Bankables. For $1 a day, you can promote yourself on our BbTb homepage or the individual category homepages. You choose where and we’ll do the rest.

I’m an agent but I don’t have time to check your TALENT vault every day. What can I do?

If you’re a TALENT seeker of any kind, you can sign up for our ATeM (Automated TALENT eMail). We’ll send you email any time we add TALENT to any of your chosen categories in the BbTb TALENT vault.

I booked a show after creating my BbTb profile. How can I tell you about it?

We want to know about any success – large or small – you experience after becoming a part of the BbTb community. We’ll highlight you on our homepage or throughout the pages of BIGbreakTALENTbank.com or in our e-Newsletter Bank on It or maybe even in a news release. If you got a BIGbreak from BIGbreak, let’s tell the world.

Can I network with only BbTb TALENT?

Absolutely. We have 2 forums for networking. Our public forum, the BIGbreak Room, is open to anyone – TALENT, TALENT seekers, TALENT Tellers and all BbTb visitors. Access to BIGbreak Board Room, our private forum, is only granted after you become Bankable.

How do you find the professional BIGbreak success stories?

It’s simple, really. We reach out to people we like and ask them about their BIGbreaks and best advice they’ve been given that’s helped them in some way. We started this to illustrate to our Bankables that BIGbreaks can come from anywhere and everywhere. We also believe that advice from someone already making a living doing what you want to do for a living can be invaluable.

I want to advertise on BIGbreakTALENTbank.com. What are your rates?

BIGbreakTALENTbank.com advertising is also exclusive. We are limiting our advertisers to those that directly relate to the community we’re building. If you manufacture fiber optics, we’re sorry, this is not the advertising venue for you. And if you’re prone to ugly banner ads, please hire a professional – or us – to help you. Just like our TALENT, our future advertisers go through an “audition” process too. We spent a lot of time and money on BbTb. We don’t want to dirty it up with ugly ads. No offense.
